Restylane Lyft has been getting a lot of buzz for its ability to add volume to the cheeks and midface where it has been lost. Many patients come to our office with concerns of their face looking aged. Often, they cannot put their finger on exactly where the issue lies. In many cases, it is the cheeks. As we age, the natural fat surrounding the cheeks begins to deteriorate, leaving us with a less youthful-looking appearance. Restylane Lyft is the first and only FDA-approved filler specifically designed to provide a ‘lift’ to cheeks by adding volume. It can also be used to correct and smooth smile lines (nasolabial folds) around the mouth for an overall ‘lifted’ result.

Treatment Areas for Restylane Lyft

Restylane Lyft works best when it is used to correct volume loss. It is indicated by the FDA for use in the cheeks and the nasolabial folds (smile lines around the mouth). Restylane Lyft specifically targets areas of the face that sag over time resulting in a more defined, more youthful appearance, without surgery.

How Does Restylane Lyft Work?

Restylane Lyft is an injectable hyaluronic acid gel. It is composed of naturally occurring substances that already exist in our skin to provide us with support and fullness. As we age, those substances slowly diminish, leaving us with less volume and a less youthful appearance. When injected into the skin, Restylane Lyft can correct volume loss and soften wrinkles on the face.

What to Expect at Your Restylane Lyft Treatment

Prior to any injectable filler treatment at our office, you will first meet with Dr. Franckle to determine if you are a candidate and to develop a treatment plan. The Restylane Lyft treatment itself lasts about 15 minutes. Lidocaine (a numbing agent) is formulated into the product, meaning maximum comfort for you.

Many patients can achieve full correction of the treatment areas in one office visit with results lasting up to 12 months, on average. There is no downtime associated with Restylane Lyft injections. Some patients may see minimal redness around the treated areas when they leave the office. This generally subsides within an hour. Patients who are prone to bruising may see marking within the first week of post-treatment. If this is a concern of yours, discuss it with Dr. Franckle before treatment. Other side effects some patients experience are minor headaches and tenderness around the treatment site.

Combining Treatments for Best Results

Combining BOTOX® Cosmetic or Dysport with your Restylane Lyft treatment may enhance your results even further. If you are concerned with crow’s feet wrinkles or folds in your forehead, BOTOX® Cosmetic or Dysport best treats those areas. Combining the two treatments within the same office visit can produce an overall healthier, natural, and younger looking appearance.
