Four Easy Cosmetic Procedures You Can Squeeze in at Lunch

Looking for a more vibrant, youthful appearance, without committing to long-term cosmetic surgery? You’re in luck! There are a number of non-surgical treatments that can be done in an afternoon with virtually no downtime. These four treatments can make a visible difference without having to take time off for recovery.

BOTOX®

BOTOX® works by temporarily relaxing the facial muscles to get rid of lines and wrinkles across the forehead and at the corners of eyes. The treatment only takes about 10 minutes to complete and can easily be squeezed in during a lunch hour. For long-lasting results, Botox should be repeated every 3-4 months.

Injectable Fillers

Fillers are similar to BOTOX® because both are used to combat signs of aging on the face. Injectable fillers plump the skin to smooth fine lines, while BOTOX® relaxes the muscles underneath. For example, the injectable filler Juvederm Volbella is great for adding natural fullness to the lips, while Juvederm Voluma adds volume to the cheeks and mid-face area. Often, these fillers can be combined with BOTOX® and completed during one appointment. Dermal fillers, such as Restylane®, take less than 30 minutes to administer and results last up to 18 months.

Kybella

There’s finally a non-surgical procedure that tackles that tough double chin area! The Kybella injectable helps define the jawline by removing that pesky extra fat between the neck and chin. Treatment only lasts about 30 minutes, with no added recovery time. Many patients see results after the first treatment, but Dr. Franckle generally recommends two to six sessions for the most dramatic, lasting results without taking the cosmetic surgery route.

At-home Mask or Facial Peel

Not all non-surgical cosmetic options require a trip to the doctor’s office. Medical-grade skin care treatments, like ZO Skin Health, offer great options to brighten, renew, and treat facial needs at home. A sulfur masque is an easy solution for oily skin or clogged pores and can be done at home in about 15 minutes. Or, a resurfacing peel can be used to correct skin texture and tone in about one hour.

Transform Yourself With Cosmetic Surgery This Winter

If you’re dreaming about having a toned body during the summer months, now is the time to consult with an experienced plastic surgeon. Learn more about the practical considerations that make winter the ideal time for cosmetic surgery and explore the most popular procedures this time of year.

Cold Weather Provides Natural Down Time

Most cosmetic surgeries include at least a few weeks of recovery for optimal healing. During the winter months, it’s easier to hunker down with your favorite Netflix series and let your body rest. As the temperature drops, we naturally want to stay inside more. When the day comes to rejoin the world outside your home, heavy clothing and multiple layers worn during the winter can conceal swelling, bandages, and other signs of surgery. With time off for winter holidays in December and January, it’s often easier to schedule an extended absence from work for your surgery and recovery period. From an emotional perspective, many patients follow the “new year, new you” mantra and decide to head into January with an amazing new look.

Ideal Winter Cosmetic Procedures

While all types of plastic surgery can be conducted in winter months, a few procedures are especially convenient this time of year.

  • Facial surgery, such as facelifts, neck lifts, brow lifts, and eyelid surgery can be easily hidden with winter hats, scarves, and coats. These procedures require you to stay out of direct sunlight during recovery, which is easier to do when it’s cold outside.
  • Procedures that require extensive recovery time, such as breast surgeries and abdominoplasty, are ideal for the cold months when social schedules are lighter, making people more likely to stay home. As a bonus, you’ll be ready to show off the results in your new swimsuit come summer.
  • Procedures with a quick recovery time, such as dermal fillers and other non-surgical procedures, are great in the fall so you can look your best for holiday parties and other festive obligations.
